Makeup is a somewhat controversial subject with some cosplayers. A good deal of anime cosplayers are younger (high school through mid-twenties). Some of them have sensitive skin or are prone to breakouts. Others just don't want to go through the cost and the hassle of wearing makeup: you don't want to get bright blue face-paint smeared onto a costume you've spent months putting together. The members of MOCHI are themselves mixed when it comes to the use of makeup. One of them uses it routinely to ... uh, make up for "assets" that she doesn't have. (Hey! - Daifuku Mochi) Some of them use makeup for very specific effects. One member won't touch the stuff with a ten-foot pole.

Our feelings basically boil down to this:

1. If you don't want to use makeup, etc. that's groovey.
2. If you do want to use it, that's groovey too.

(Pretty simple, eh?)
