Butterick Classics #6420: Basic pants pattern

This pattern contains five variations, including an easy basic one (no zipper), stirrup pants, pleated front, etc. It's very suitable as a starting point for any pants pattern. While this pattern is designed for moderate stretch fabrics, you can use a larger size when making a pair of pants out of non-stretch fabric.

Folkwear Pattern #151: Hakama

This pattern is basically a "recipe" for making umanori-bakama: horse-riding hakama which have seam so that there are actual legs. (They are very similar to culottes.) There is no tissue "pattern": you derive the pattern based on body measurements and established proportions. Look very carefully at the illustrations: sometimes the instructions leave out information that is only present in accompanying diagrams. Familiarity with Japanese clothing construction techniques is helpful, but not necessary.

Kwik Sew #2236: Gloves, etc.

There are patterns for a number of accessories: gloves, a beret-style hat, cuffs, jabots, and shawl. This has been most useful for its glove pattern. Please note that gloves are difficult: small imperfections can give you lumpy fingers or gloves that don't fit quite right. Pay attention to the fabric: some fabrics work fine for the main garment but are too bulky for the fingers, fray too easily, don't stretch enough, etc. If necessary, try buying separate fabric that will match the main garment but has better "glove" qualities.
