[Wakey, wakey!]The next morning, Toasted Mochi went into "Energizer Bunny" mode. As he bounced his way about, the rest of MOCHI slowly woke up. The Snoring Room contingent had several complaints, including electrical outlets that didn't work and some ... er, irregular water pressure. Retreating across the street to a coffee shop, MOCHI got some sugar and caffeine into their systems. Toasted bopped back to the con to be helpful while the others began plotting out the day.

Sugar Bomb retreated back to the room to do some wiring work. Spiky and Daifuku left to get some costuming supplies that Daifuku had forgotten. On their way out to the car, they were greeted by the sight of Toasted Mochi running towards them at top speed. Toasted was a MOCHI on a mission. (No, not a mission from God. He was on a mission from Charles, which is pretty close.) His mission: to get some supplies (like tablecloths and duct tape) for the con. Bundling him into the car, MOCHI rode off into the morning sun ....

After prying Daifuku away from the fabric store (and answering questions about a Weird Al t-shirt), MOCHI came back victorious. Ever the busy bee, Toasted Mochi ended up manning the registration desk until 4 PM. During the rest of the con, he was very amused to see people with badges that had his handwriting on them. The rest of MOCHI, being the lazy bums that they are, did some last-minute costume work before heading on out to see the rest of the con ....

The con seemed to be spread out more than usual: registration, the video room, gaming room, art show, and panels were stretched between floors. Having the con suite on the top floor was good for us [since all we had to do was roll out of bed to get snacks! - Sugar Bomb], but there seemed to be less "walk-in" traffic than last year (when the con suite was on the way between various areas). A good mix of titles shown in the video rooms meant that everyone could find at least one showing that tickled their fancy. Over the weekend, we caught episodes of Himiko-den, Tenshi ni Narumon, a taste of To Heart, and other shows. Toasted and Daifuku Mochi were sad to learn that the Crayon Shin-Chan movie was going to be shown during the masquerade.

Later in the evening, after prying Toasted away from the video viewing room, MOCHI reprised Miyu and Larva, with Gateau (of Sorceror Hunters) in tow. Toasted wanted to show Daifuku the Miyu fan-cel that he had bought earlier in the day, but the art room was already closing when we stopped by ....

[Night eyes burning bright ....] Art room person: I'm sorry, but the art room is closed. I'm just waiting for another person to come by and lock up.
Daifuku: [nod] I was just hoping to catch a glimpse of that Miyu fan-cel. [points at the fan cel, which is visible through the doorway] [points up at Toasted Mochi] He bought it earlier today.
Art room person: Ah! YOU bought that cel! You know, a lot of people were upset that it was already gone.
Toasted: [does a happy dance]
Daifuku: [shocked] Larva! Don't gloat!
