Alucard von Mosquiton

• From: Master of Mosquiton (OAV).
• Materials: Black polyester "satin" (cape), red polyester fabric w/ small diamond pattern (cape liner), gold lame circles (cape "buttons"), lavender polyester weave (shirt). Worn with black slacks, belt, black socks, black water sport slip-ons with distinguishing marks permanent-markered-out, gold crucifix, glow-in-the-dark wig, sunglasses, Fangtastics(tm) fangs.
• Design notes: In some scenes, it appears that Mosquiton is wearing boots, but it was ambiguous enough to downplay the footwear and focus on above-the-waist construction.
• Construction notes: The cape required the most work. A 3/4-cape pattern was used to form both cape and liner, then the bottom was cut into 7 equal scallops. The collar was stiffened with posterboard. The throat clasp was attached with snaps on both sides. The shirt was a basic shirt pattern, modified to taper the arms to the wrists and given a v-neck.
• Additional notes: The fang adhesives worked abysmally. Alternate glues are under consideration. The glow-in-the-dark wig was chosen for its white-in-daylight color and style, but it provided entirely too much amusement for Spiky Mochi while waiting in line, backstage, in a dimly lit area.
