Solude

• From: Maze (OAV).
• Materials: Mid-weight leather (boot extensions, bracers, armor), spandex (top), dance-weight hose, elastic (band), stretch cotton-poly blend (band), polyester sheer (arm bands and side "tufts"), velcro, plastic belt buckle parts, plastic (armor), enamel spray paint
• Design notes: The OAV design was chosen over the TV and manga designs, where Solude wears leggings that are "reverse chaps". The tall boots would do a better job of giving the illusion of length: Solude is generally tall and thin, especially compared to her partner.
• Construction notes: The plastic "spine" of the armor was recycled from old lacross padding and covered with leather. Holes were drilled in the plastic to accomdate waxed thread lashings to help hold the leather on. Velcro was used to help keep the pads in place: the buckle which appears to hold things in place is purely decorative.
