• From: Bastard! (manga).
• Materials: ABS .80 plastic (armor), Ethafoam (for armor "spines"), white cotton-lycra blend (leotard and boot covers), white lining material (front "loincloth"), Sculpey (spikes), elastic, dancer's tights, prosthetics (ears), suspender clips, Velcro, Ethafoam. Worn with white leather boots.
• Design notes: Taken from the armor design seen in kan 7 of the manga. There are two different armor configurations for this costume. (Both appear in the manga.) In one configuration, she wears spiked knee plates, spiked greaves, and round plates on the sides of her legs. In the other configuration, she adds shoulder armor, a breastplate, back "plates", and arm sheaths.
• Construction notes: The spines are attached to a wedge of Ethafoam, which is what is glued to the main body of shoulder armor. Hot glue had to be used sparingly since it "melts" the Ethafoam when applied too liberally.
• Additional notes: A second version of the armor is planned. While the hot glue is generally stable, it has a tendency to "unstick" when subjected to hot and humid conditions.
