Dark Schneider

• From: Bastard! (manga).
• Materials: black stretch velvet (midriff section, half-robe), brown leather (pants, belt system), spandex tights (pants), snaps (pants, neckpiece), bias tape (pants), D-rings. Worn with black "army" boots.
• Design notes: Instead of multiple cutouts over the midriff, we chose to go with a solid removable sheath of stretchy black fabric was constructed. This is important to keep the overall cut of the body similar to the reference photo.
• Construction notes: Leather straps were cut and latticed together. Snaps were added as closures. Loops of bias tape held the straps to the spandex tights. The D-rings were used to hold together the leather "jock" and belt. The belt itself supports the "waist cloak", which is snapped in place.
• Additional notes: Future revisions include adding a leather strap down the back of the leg for added security. (One of the bias strips popped out of place just before MOCHI entered the stage at the Anime Central 2000 masquerade.)
