• Materials: Satin (dress, hair bun-covers, shoe detailing), purchased wings, white shoes, polymer clay (earrings), jewelry findings (earrings).
• Design notes: The dress is designed to hide the how the wings are attached.
• Construction notes: The basic dress design was taken from a pattern and underwent several slight variations in muslin. Building protypes in muslin meant that we could test how well the wing attachments could be hidden without using more expensive fabric. One interesting note: the dress tended to show several small wrinkles until the lining was added. Yay for lining!
